Theatre of the People (TOP) is a non-profit community arts organization that recieves more than seventy percent of its funding from small personal donations and the rest from small business partnerships among other. Through generous community support and TOP's penny-pinching philosophy, creativity is encouraged to flourish and audiences are entitled to real community art that is By the People and For the People.

TOP makes every effort to use recycled materials, found items, and second-hand goods for all set, costume, and prop construction to maximize artistic efficiency and promote true community sustainability. For example, An Enemy of the People from Project I included scenic design features that incorporated recycled cardboard donated from a local business, expired newspapers, and chalk among other elements (see picture above).
